Salisbury Steak
Here is one for you.
1 pound ground meat. Today I used ground beef)
1/3 cup of seasoned bread crumb.
bride mustard,
Not sure because I shook the powdered mustard out and didn't measure.
Let's say 1 teaspoon of dried mustard more or less.
A squirt of catch-up
4 shakes of Worchester sauce
A pinch of pepper
And twice as much salt.
Mix everything well
divide into two equal part and fry like a burger in 1 tablespoon of butter
and oil.
About 7 minutes on each side Or until pink is out of meat. I go by the seven
minute rule.
Take and lay the cooked Salisbury steak on a plate.
For the gravy
one small onion sliced as thin as possible into onion rings. Fry until
golden brown. Again I use the 7 minute rule and feel if they are done. Stir
as they cook along with some fresh garlic cloves if you like garlic.
Now add the half can of beef broth (14 1/2 ounces)
Add a can of cream of what ever. Could be celery, or mushroom soup. I found
the cream of celery so that is what we got.
Add one tablespoon of corn starch in other half of beef broth and mix well.
Add to skillet.
A couple more splash of Worchester sauce.
Now stir until gravy forms and shows on spoon as you stir not to get lumps.
Place the Salisbury steaks back in gravy and place a lid on the skillet and
let simmer for about 25 minutes. Flip steaks half way thru. By that time the
potatoes should be done and the store refrigerator rolls too.

Hi everyone,
Please tell me about any food blogs you subscribe to. I'm looking online,
but I'd be interested in any you would recommend. I'm especially
interested in recipes that are written to serve one or two. The easier the
better.
Thanks,
Nancy in OK
