Here is how I do it.
Chop up a onion and sweet red pepper and fry them in butter.
Take the corn bread and crumble it into the skillet. salt and pepper to taste. Take a stick of butter and melt it into the mixture. More butter if you like. Bake in oven and serve hot. About twenty minutes.
For the corn bread.
1 c flour
1c corn meal
1 tbls. baking powder
1 egg beaten
1 cup buttermilk or just plain milk. I use water
1/4 cup of oil. I use canola oil
1/2 tsp of salt
Mix well
Place in 8 inch greased cast iron   skillet.
Bake at 375 for about 18 to 20 minutes or until bread is done.
