I think if I were considering cooking those on low, I'd first follow the 
original recipe and taste and make notes.  Then the second batch I made 
would be done on low for probably a doubled amount of time and I would 
taste that second batch and make notes.  I want to find out if the 
recipe improves or suffers from a modification first before I serve any 
of it to company, but that's just me.
