Yes, I can use it to slow cook, though with the plethora of crock pots I
have I tend not to. I've cooked roasts in it, and I use it to make the
Mexican Chicken recipe I got from my grandmother.
Think of it as a cross between an electric skillet and a single dish oven. I
don't have the name and model number from it, though.
