Here is what the people from Nuwave told me.  Put the pie in for 30 minutes.
Remove the pie and put a couple of foil strips about 2 inches around the
edge of the crust.  Put the pie back in for the remaining 30 to 40 minutes.
You will want to make sure it doesn't brown too fast but that should work.

     Let me know how it comes out.
