You could purchase a mechanical timer in Home Depot or such. They have
removeable pins to stop and start the time. If you cannot figure it out, a
sighted person can set it for you and you can just keep it attached to your
crock pot.

The only one I ever seen is the one I can't figure out. To use it, my
sighted wife has to set it. Don't know the name of it and haven't seen it in
