The cost of producing braille is still expensive, but not as expensive as it
used to be, if you have good equipment. Braille embossers still aren't
cheap, and neither is the paper or the translation software.

I have not received one of the preparation or catalogs from
Schwans in Braille for many years. I guess they think it is too costly to
put them into Braille, as did Guidepost magazine is no longer going to be
produced in Braille by Clovernook for this same reason. Guideposts even
quit putting their magazine in Braille several years ago for the same
reason that it was costing too much.
