Wikipedia has an article on this at the following link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Processed_cheese Yes, Cheese Whiz, Velveeta, and American Cheese contain cheese, but are not all cheese -- other things are added to it to make it more consistent and cooking stable. It's up to you to decide if it's cheese or not. Are hamburgers beef? Are onion rings onions? Is cheesecake cream cheese? You decide for yourself.
