I am typing with a hurt finger: 25 minuese in my rice cooker and 10 for standing time. I think I wrote 20 to 25 minutes because I wasn't quite sure. I though an hour was long for cooking rice. I have the 1 to 3 cup cooker as well. Sorry about that. Nad spray or butter pot liberally for no sticking on the bottom.

But I have used one for several years now. I have the smaller one that will handle 1 to 3 cups of rice. I use two and a quarter cups of water to one cup of rice. cooking time is usually about 25 minutes. longer for brown rice. The white rice will take a bit longer if I add a few things to it, such as finely chopped onion, diced tomatoes, etc. The figure for the regular rice cooking time that I read on the list answers so far was two hundred and five minutes. I'm thinking this was a typing error. Depending on what I'm doing with the rice, it takes 25 to 30 minutes for white rice and somewhere between 35 and 45 minutes for brown rice. Hope this helps to clarify things.
