Hello Charles this is Teresa from Arizona hope all is well in your to your question I would add the sausage in the crockpot set it on low and the sauerkraut I would do last if you do not want it to be mushy say 30 minutes to an hour before your sausages done Trivenne see if that helps I'm sure others have different times on the on this list, they are better at this than I am but this is my opinion cook the sausage first you can cook it in the skillet like the first person said but again if it was me I'd put it in the crockpot in the bottom cook that on low not really all day I would say 68 hours then add your sauerkraut when the sausages almost done that would be a best bet I meant to say 6–28 hours LOL stupid iPhone then add the crout 30 minutes before done try that LOLc I hope you know what I'm trying to say 6–8 hours!
