Chocolate Marble Cake

This recipe for Chocolate Marble Cake is similar to a
Tunnel of Fudge Cake
only instead of a chocolate cake with a chocolate center, this cake has a
yellow cake with a chocolate center. This Chocolate Marble Cake may either
be
baked in a
Bundt Cake Pan
or a
regular tube pan.

Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour, 5 minutes
Total Time: 1 hour, 25 minutes
Yield: 12 to 16 servings
Ingredients:

. 4 ounces semi- or bittersweet chocolate,
melted
and cooled
. 12 ounces (1-1/2 cups) butter, softened
. 3-3/4 cups (approx. 1 pound) powdered sugar
. 6 eggs
. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
. 3 cups
flour
. Thick Chocolate Glaze

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease and flour
regular tube pan
or
Bundt Cake Pan.
Cream butter and sugar until
light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time. Mixing after each addition. Add vanilla. Gradually
add flour. Mix well. Remove 1/3 of cake batter to smaller bowl. Mix in
melted
chocolate. Set aside. Add half of remaining batter to cake pan. Spoon
chocolate batter on top. Add rest of plain cake batter. Take a knife and cut
through
batter to marble cake. Bake for 58 - 75 minutes. Use cake tester to test for
doneness. Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove to wire rack and cool
completely. Top Chocolate Marble Cake with prepared

Thick Chocolate Glaze

Here is an easy recipe for Thick Chocolate Glaze.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:

. 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
. 1/4 cup dark chocolate*
. 3 tablespoons butter
. 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
. 1/4 teaspoon extract (vanilla or one that better suits what is being
glazed)

Preparation:
Place all ingredients in pan over top of pan of hot water. Stir occasionally
until chocolate is melted and ingredients are combined.

Drizzle over bundt cakes, cookies, doughnuts etc.

Makes 1 Cup Thick Chocolate Glaze
