The griddler is great for making pancakes, sausage, bacon, and for frying hamburgers. It has a setting for pannini sandwhiches. I would guess that you can even grill such things as pork chops on the grill sides of the heating plates. By the way, these plates pop easily for changing and cleaning. Mike
