Hi Brian

Using the oven is the only way I now prepare bacon. I use a large cookie sheet covered with foil which makes it easier to dispose of extra bacon fat. While not necessary, I like using a cooking rack placed in the cookie sheet which helps the bacon cook better on both sides. No turning the bacon over.

I preheat the oven to 425 degrees. After spraying the cooling rack with cooking spray to help keep the bacon from sticking, I lay several pieces on the rack. In fact, I fill the rack with strips so that I can use left over bacon for BLTs.

I bake the bacon for 25 to 30 minutes, depending on how crisp I want it that day. Then remove it and let it stand for three minutes or so. Yum! And clean up is very easy. Just fold the foil to contain the bacon grease and trash it. The cookie sheet should be clean and you only have to clean the cooling rack if you used one.

I use the thick cut bacon. So, the oven temp and cooking time may be much less if you use regular bacon. Hope this helps.

Bill
