Yes CCB and ACB has a lot of resources to help the blind community as well. Smile sugar ‘I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night. Hey there. Even though many of us can assist in technique we can't assist to much in terms of gaining confidence. My suggestion, take a course through centres like the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), not sure if the American Council of the Blind (ACB) has a similar program. It's one thing to give technique, but confidence is another. Just a suggestion. Deborah is right though, you can tell when a pot is boiling by the steam coming out of the top. Also, there are products available that will whistle and indicate when the pot is boiling. For more products check out www.blindmicemegamall.com.
