Swiss Steak And Gravy

1 (2 1/2 pound) round steak, cut into serving-size pieces

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

Half a soup can of milk or water

Half or a whole envelope dry onion soup mix, depending on your taste
preference

Place steak in 5 quart slow cooker. In a bowl, mix soup and milk together.
Pour over steak. Sprinkle dry onion soup mix over top. Cover; cook on low
for 4 to 7 hours, or until the meat is tender but not over-cooked.

Variations:

*Add 1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained, on top of the steak.
Sprinkle the top of the dish with 1/2 teaspoon black pepper after sprinkling
with soup mix.

*Cut the steak into 2 inch by 4 inch strips. Toss with mushroom soup
mixture. Place in slow cooker and cook as directed.

*Use cubed steak instead of round steak and use 1 cup water instead of only
half a soup can.

Makes 6 to 8 servings. Mama's Corner.
