Basil Swiss Steak 1 (2 pound) round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
1 onion, sliced 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup or 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon dried basil Arrange steak in 3 quart slow cooker. Steak need not be browned first. Lay onion over meat. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl. Spoon over the meat and onion. Cover; cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
