Green Pepper Swiss Steak

3 pounds round steak, cut into serving size pieces

1/2 cup flour

4 ounces tomato sauce

1 medium-sized onion, sliced

1 green pepper, sliced

Dredge meat in flour. In a nonstick skillet, brown meat on both sides, but
do not cook. Place browned steak in 4 quart slow cooker. Pour tomato sauce
over the steak. Arrange onion and pepper over top. Cover; cook on low for 6
to 7 hours, or until meat is tender, but not over-cooked.

Variation:

Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper to flour before dredging meat.
