A flat head screw driver may help. If you can get the blade between the rim of the base and the lip of the crock then twist possibly that may get you the needed leverage. If that fails then food got inside the base on the bottom and the base of the crock. Maybe flipping the crock pot over onto its top then try to turn the base of the pot could break the grip of the food and get you needed leverage. If that works, lift the base off the crock then proceed from there.

Subject: [CnD] CrockPot Woes

Hello List,
This is a rather weird situation. In all my years of cooking, this has never
happened to me before. Somehow, food got stuck on my crockpot, and I can no
longer remove the crock from the metal container that hours the heating
element, etc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
Suzanne
