Hello Teresa
There is no silly questions. Smile
what I do is just let the fruit sit in water for a day and then I drink it.
The longer you leave in water the more the nutrients will release.
I eat the fruit once I am done because I love it!
You don't have to throw the fruit out, it would be a waste so I eat it once I
am done ddrinking the water.
You can also take the same slices of fruit and keep refilling your pitcher
until the fruit tastekind of blah.

Now not really all sure about fat just fushing away smile, but it does help
detox my system some.
You can do this as a refresher as well by adding strawberries, cucumbers or any
other fruit to water, it gives you flavored water.
Many Hotels now do this around the states, they have pitchers of water with
fruit in them as a cool refresher.
I think it's really cool and refreshing, something rather than just plain water.
