This classic coffee cake is filled with pecans, brown sugar, and cinnamon and drizzled with a sweet glaze. Makes ten servings. ready in: 1-2 hrs. ingredients 1 box (18.25 ounce size) butter cake mix 4 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional) 1/2 cup sugar 3/4 cup vegetable oil 8 ounces sour cream 1/2 cup chopped pecans 2 tablespoons brown sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon Glaze 1 cup confectioners' sugar 3 tablespoons milk, orange juice or lemon juice directions Mix cake mix, sugar and oil. Mix in eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla; add sour cream. Stir in pecans. Pour half of batter into greased tube pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle brown sugar-cinnamon mixture over batter. Add remaining batter; do not stir. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees F for 60 to 65 minutes until cake tests done. (You can also use oblong pan.) For Glaze: Mix and spread while cake is hot.
