Cinnamon and Spice Flipover

Topping

4 c peeled and thinly sliced apples
1 c sugar
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cake

1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus Yellow or Butter Recipe Cake Mix
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 c water
1/3 c oil
3 eggs

Heat oven to 350. Grease and flour 13X9 inch pan. In large saucepan,
combine apples, sugar, margarine, and cinnamon. Cook over low heat
until apples are tender, stirring frequently. Spread over bottom of
prepared pan. In large bowl blend cake ingredients until moistened.
Beat 2 min. at highest speed. Pour over apples in pan. Bake at 350 for
35-45 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Immediately flip cake over, with the apple side up, onto serving plate. If
desired top with whipped cream.
12 servings.

High Altitudes: Above 3500 ft: Add 3 tablespoons flour to dry cake
mix. Increase water to 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon. Bake at 375 for 35-45 min.
