First of all get yourself a good set of oven mitts. These are glove like things that you can put on your hands so with your hands won’t burn touching read grill. Secondly practice when it’s cold. Get a hamburger patty that’s already been cooked, and practice finding it and flipping it with a spatula. You can also use a fork and or a knife or any kind of utensil in your left hand to help you find the different things on the grill. For more come back again soon I am a coffee roaster by profession, and I own a café. I do work in the kitchen there, as well as I roast all of the coffee for my company. I do a lot of grilling and smoking foods at home, because cooking is one of my favorite things. I am a totally blind person, and what I find helps the most is in cooking practicing moving foods putting food on grills and all of those kinds of things when the grill and the food is cold.
