Wipe a griddle or heavy cast iron pan with remaining butter. Place ham and cheese on one of the bread slices; make a sandwich. Grill both sides of sandwich, pressing down top with spatula. Meanwhile break egg gently onto hot griddle. Sprinkle yolk lightly with curry powder, salt and pepper. Place sandwich on a serving dish over a bed of lettuce. Carefully position sandwich over the top slice of bread. Serve. Note: Egg may be dropped into an egg ring for a perfect circle, if desired.
