Let them sit on the counter for a while and the odor will go away or you
will get used to it and the problem won't matter.
Alternatively, freeze the items for a few days and maybe they will be fresh
again when you thaw them.

Subject: [CnD] Fragrance in food

I was sent a gift consisting of fudge, fruit cake & soap, all together in an
envelope. The fudge & cake have taken on the soap's fragrance. Anything I
can do to change this? Thanks.
Wendy
