Buttery Sugar Cookies Recipe
Ingredients list of 7 items . 1 C. butter . 1 C. granulated sugar . 1 egg . 3 Tbs. milk . 1 tsp. vanilla . 3 C. flour . 1/4 tsp. salt list end Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg, milk and vanilla. Mix well. Combine flour and salt; add to butter mixture 1 cup at a time, mixing after each addition. Chill dough for 3-4 hours for easier handling. On a floured surface, roll dough to approximately 1/4-inch thickness. Dip cookie cutter in flour before each use. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 6-7 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned around edges. Cool cookies on rack. When cool, decorate as desired.
