Coincidentally, my home worker picked up a steamer from Walmart, When I wanted a double boiler. Well, she is younger than I am And does not know what a double boiler is. I was going to return the steamer To the store, but now, decided to keep it. It is one You can use on the stove, and so I washed it and decided to keep it. I may as well use it. I have an older gas stove which came with my apartment, and it has the Old-fashioned burners and knobs and no electronic igniter on it. It is like the gas stove I grew up with that my mother used. Quite user friendly for a blind person, and I have gotten To know its idiosyncrasy. I don't mind. As long as the pilot light Is lit, we are as safe as anyone can be. I would not mind a few more steamer recipes. I know I need to eat better for my condition.
