You are better off pouring in the sink, not on a counter or a tray. This way, any spilled liquid will end up in the sink. Less cleanup.

Take one hand and put your finger at the top of the cup. Take your other hand and line it up with the cup and pour. When you pour you can take your finger hold it in the cup and when you feel the liquid touch your finger it will tell you that the liquid is at the top of the cup. Another thing you can do when pouring put your camp on a serving tray or cookie sheet. This way if you spill it will stay on the tray or cookie sheet.\ There is also a device you can get that has prongs on it. The prongs hangs in the cup. Then when the liquid gets to the top of the cup the device beeps.
