Well the discussion seems to be about a handful of legacy /8s where IANA holds 
the registration details, not an RIR.

Unless I'm more confused than usual, the accuracy of the registration details 
for 51/8 (say) are not a matter for RIPE or the NCC. Maybe they should be. But 
that's another discussion altogether. Probably.

BTW, that /8 has never been routed on the Internet (bogus announcements 
excepted) and probably never will be. That's why I'm so doubtful if it matters 
operationally what the name of the organisation holding that space happens to 
be this week. After all, it's not as if one of the biggest departments of Her 
Majesty's Government is well hidden. YMMV.
