Dear Roger and all,

Chartering organisations in this context are the ICANN Supporting
Organisations (SOs) and Advisory Committees (ACs), that may participate
in the Accountability CCWG.

The SOs are the three specialised advisory bodies that advise ICANN
Board of Directors on issues related to Domain names (GNSO and CCNSO)
and IP addresses (ASO).

An Advisory Committee, as defined by ICANN, is a formal advisory body
made up by representatives from the Internet Community to advise ICANN
on a particular issue or policy area. Several are mandated by ICANN
Bylaws and others are created as needed.

Thank you.

Kind regards,
Athina Fragkouli, RIPE NCC
