A number of community members were at CPDP. In particular, there was an ICANN-supported session, part of our outreach to civil society, on 'THE GDPR IMPACT ON THE DOMAIN NAME COMMUNITY'. It gathered a panel including ICANN GNSO Councillor Stefania Milan, ICANN NCSG member Stephanie Perrin, Professor Lee Bygrave, as well as my colleague Adam Peake, and Peter Kimpian of the Council of Europe (GAC observer). The panel was moderated by Professor Joanna Kulesza, University of Lodz, who I understand is now a member of the RIPE Accountability Task Force. Others I spotted on the CPDP programme included Bertrand de la Chapelle, on a panel related to cross-border law enforcement issues. Good point - the concern might be that the RIPE stuff is too "technical" (or rather "operational") for the usual CPDP crowd. Julf
