For the record, one of the 0.6.1 items is to make this (i.e. ability to user http_proxy) a built-in feature for both versions.

Paul.

p.s. just back from HEC-2009 which was very pleasant and I'd definitely recommend future meetings (particularly for germanophones) (I've been out out touch because the wireless there didn't support Mac :-( ).

If you have a python enabled version, you should be able to set the
http_proxy in the shell where you start coot (bash, e.g.):

http_proxy="http://myproxy:5050";
export http_proxy

then use the following python command in Coot:

get_ebi_pdb("id_code")

not sure if this works for guile/scheme the same way?! But I guess it does.

Dear all,

I am a beginner of COOT, who can tell me how to set the http_proxy in coot.

I need to Get PDB using Accession Code.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Qiang
