Dear All, I'm having a few problems running coot. I'd had no problems until this Friday gone when all of a sudden coot stopped loading!
The coot graphic loads but then the actual coot interface fails to load leaving the following message in my terminal: Coot Python Scripting GUI code found and loaded. Loading: tips_gui.py Loading: check_for_updates.py Loading: shelx_extensions.py Loading: clear_backup.py Loading: coot_toolbuttons.py (filter-fileselection-filenames-state) (get-active-map-drag-flag) (use-graphics-interface-state) GThread-ERROR **: GThread system may only be initialized once. aborting... /usr/local/coot-Linux-x86_64-centos-5-gtk2-python/bin/coot: line 240: 21600 Aborted $coot_real $@ coot-exe: "/usr/local/coot-Linux-x86_64-centos-5-gtk2-python/bin/coot-real" coot-version: /usr/local/coot-Linux-x86_64-centos-5-gtk2-python/bin/coot-real platform: /bin/uname core: #f No core file found. No debugging This is not helpful. Please turn on core dumps before sending a crash report I am running Centos 5.6 plus on a 64-bit machine. I can run the program as root, but not any other user (although this is fine for the moment I think I should really sort out the problem). I have tried re-installing with the latest versions of coot to no avail. I suspect I have updated a package which is causing this error, but am unsure which one. I have now reached the limit of what I am capable of fixing and was wondering if anyone else could please help? Many thanks, Richard
