Dear COOT developers and users I am having a problem with COOT and was wondering if I could get some guidance.
When COOT opens it cannot find the restraints dictionary, giving the following warning messages: WARNING:: COOT_PREFIX set, but no dictionary lib found WARNING: Failed to read restraints dictionary. WARNING: in init_refmac_mon_lib /data/monomers/list/mon_lib_list.cif not found. WARNING:: energy lib /data/monomers/ener_lib.cif not found. The program still opens and runs fine, but I am unable to perform any real space refinement on my structures and get the following error message "Refinement setup failure. Failed to find restraints for: VAL HIS ARG", presumably because the program has been unable to load the restraint files. I have checked the coot package installed on my machine and the restraint files "mon_lib_list.cif" & "ener_lib.cif" are present in the directories "/Applications/coot.app/Contents/coot/lib/data/monomers/list" & "/Applications/coot.app/Contents/coot/lib/data/monomers" respectively, so I am unsure why the program cannot find them. I am running COOT version 0.6.2 (installed using a universal dmg installer downloaded form the CCP4 website) on an iMac running OS X version 10.6.8.
