To see if probe is installed we use

command-in-path-or-absolute?

now. Although I cannot see why this should fail. But please try first:

(command-in-path-or-absolute? *probe-command*)

B

I upgraded our Coot installations from 0.6.2 to 0.7-pre-1-r3633, and Probe
clashes/validation stopped working. Coot finds the probe command in the
PATH:

(command-in-path? *probe-command*)
/programs/share/bin/probe

But the menu item remains greyed out. The exact same probe/reduce binaries
work fine under 0.6.2. I looked through the commit logs on Google Code, but
nothing popped out at me.

I'm using Reduce 3.13.080428, and I tried two versions of Probe,
2.12.071128 and 2.13.110830.

Any ideas?
