Hi, David.
I believe you need a FireGL / FirePRO graphics card to be able to use
OpenGL stereo in Linux/Windows. See
http://www.amd.com/us/Documents/HD3D_Whitepaper.pdf for supported cards.
DirectX stereo in Windows might work with a Radeon card, but that
leaves out the usual graphics programs in MX.
I downloaded the latest ATI Linux x86 drivers and the documentation
contains an obscure reference to
"<file:///C:/Users/Matias/AppData/Local/Temp/Temp1_FirePro_8.982.8.3_Linux_x32x64-148581.zip/fglrx-8.982.8.3/doc/articles/corruptstereo.html>Quad
Buffer Stereo causes 2D graphics corruption in XFree86" that seems to
imply it is supported in the current driver version. However, I could
not find any configuration info.
Cheers,
Pedro.

Has anyone had success running Stereo 3D on Linux with AMD's "HD3D"

I haven't been able to find out much about Linux compatibility.
Suppose I had a Radeon HD 7770 with a Samsung S23A950D monitor
hooked up via DisplayPort, should I expect that to work?
Cheers,
