A general piece of advice: you can find out what many of the Coot commands
are by opening the scripting console (e.g. Calculate->Scripting->Python),
guessing a partial command name, and letting the auto-complete show
suggested options.  Doing this, starting with "set_map" or "set_show", I
was able to find these for [1] and [3]:

set_map_radius(20)
set_show_symmetry_master(1)

Not sure about the hardware stereo - I suspect stereo_mono_toggle or
stereo_mode_state might do the trick, but I'm running it on a Mac laptop so
I'm not going to try either of those.
