how to spawn a new process for a map/reduce task

hi all,

can anyone plz explain why they have stopped using the Java class
ProcessBuilder for spawning a process for a map or reduce task in
class TaskRunner in favour of the alternative in hadoop 0.16.0.

just wondering!
