OK. my wrong interpretation about backoff.
The reducer succeeded eventually.The build was off hadoop-0.17 trunk on
thursday.
How were the events of maps are delivered?
If the reducer did not get the event for one map quickly,
could it be due to some problem with the job tracker or the task tracker or
both?
