Tom White outlined in HADOOP-3413 what seems to be a significant amount of work
that will need to be done to make SequenceFile{Input|Output}Format and
SequenceFileRecord{Reader|Writer} work. (not to mention somehow changing the
API for next()). Given the scope of the changes, I think I would be more
appropiate to target it for 0.18 and not be a blocker for 0.17.0.
