One other thought on the naming - I could very easily see adding thrift APIs
for the NameNode and JobTracker for managing them and getting stats and such -
e.g., for Nagios or proprietary monitoring systems and stats collection. In
which case, naming this src/contrib/thriftapis/dfsclient would be more
extensible.
