Alternate way would be to throw a specific UserException from inside the 
mapper/reducer. See HADOOP-3700. The framework can catch it and simply break 
the mapper/reducer input loop.
This would avoid changing the Reporter interface (backward compatibility). Also 
should be efficient and cleaner IMO.
