vijayan commented on HADOOP-5885: --------------------------------- yeah, its working now. Now i am having a doubt. i submitted the sort job and it finished successfully. When i see the xml file , it shows one map is killed and so it is reassigned in other replicate and finished ther. But when i see the time it takes, it shows in negative. Will different time in different machine will have significant effect in the calculation time? > Error occurred during initialization of VM > ------------------------------------------ > > Key: HADOOP-5885 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HADOOP-5885 > Project: Hadoop Core > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 0.18.3 > Environment: virtualisation > Reporter: vijayan > Original Estimate: 336h > Remaining Estimate: 336h > > we are doing a project in hadoop. We are creating hadoop cluster using > virtual systems(slaves both real and virtual machines) using Openvz kernel. > Since we want to test the setup we required GB of data , So we run > RandomWriter job in our cluster . > But it showed lots of errors. So we stop all our > virtual system and carried the job in the real cluster(slaves involving only > real machine). And we got the the job done(i.e Random Writter job is > successfully done). > This is the error i am getting. > [ovzu...@hadoop1 hadoop-0.18.3]$ hadoop jar hadoop-0.18.3-examples.jar > randomwriter output12 > Running 120 maps. > Job started: Tue May 19 12:53:24 IST 2009 > 09/05/19 12:53:27 INFO mapred.JobClient: Running job: job_200905191252_0001 > 09/05/19 12:53:28 INFO mapred.JobClient: map 0% reduce 0% > 09/05/19 12:53:33 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000002_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000002_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000002_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000002_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:34 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000007_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000007_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000007_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000007_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:38 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000014_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000014_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000014_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000014_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:39 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000018_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000018_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000018_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000018_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:41 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000019_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000019_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000019_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000019_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:42 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000020_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000020_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000020_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000020_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > 09/05/19 12:53:42 INFO mapred.JobClient: Task Id : > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000021_0, Status : FAILED > java.io.IOException: Task process exit with nonzero status of 1. > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.runChild(TaskRunner.java:462) > at org.apache.hadoop.mapred.TaskRunner.run(TaskRunner.java:403) > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000021_0: Error occurred during initialization of > VM > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000021_0: Could not reserve enough space for > object heap > attempt_200905191252_0001_m_000021_0: Could not create the Java virtual > machine. > java.io.IOException: Job failed!
