Yes, JAXP MR 1.5 is focused on external references.
The "Schema Component Constraint: Unique Particle Attribution" comes
to my mind, which is currently not enforced by OpenJDK.
We currently don't have a plan to upgrade to fully support Schema 1.1.
We can consider updating to the current version of Xerces which has
partial support. But it will not be in MR 1.5.
