The man pages in jdk repo are an older version and they have not been
updated (sadly to say). Hopefully we can resume working on the man
pages doc work soon.
Removing -Xprof from these man pages is fine with me. So yes please
also update bsd for completely.
Can you file a docs issue to update the online version of the man page
that the docs team maintains?

The FlatProfiler (i.e. -Xprof) has been deprecated for a while, and
now it’s the time to remove it.
Note about java's man page international translations: I was told by
the localization team, that only changes to the English man pages are
needed, and that they will trigger an update to other translations.
