Yep, I was hoping you wouldn't ask that :) Im not sure whether you can use the kParameterEvent_Ramped, a search on this mailing list should find you the stuff you need relating to this.
I never actually was able to get this to work so I ended up setting a timer of some sort and adjusting the volume manually.
