One other question I have is... If I have a buffer of samples, and I want to apply an audio unit to them (such as the low pass filter I described in my previous thread), do I still need to set up a render proc?
I noticed there is an audio unit property "kAudioUnitProperty_InPlaceProcessing", which seems like what I would want--- but I am just curious if anyone here has experience with this and can tell me what flags exactly are necessary to take a buffer of samples and apply an audio unit directly, so that as in this example, all the high frequencies would be instantly removed from the buffer...
