Hi folks, I've been deriving from AUMIDIEffectBase for my AU class and using it for both the instrument and effect version of the class. I had to override Render in a slightly hacky way for this to work. (Also upgrading the AU according to https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/technotes/tn2276/_index.html seem to break things and I'm wondering if it's because of my hacky use of AUMIDIEffectBase)
What's the correct way to have an AU that is both instrument and effect? Have two classes? (If two classes, what would the bases be?) I'm doing my own voice management, so AUInstrumentBase doesn't seem to be the right thing. thanks! - Taylor -- *W. Taylor Holliday* Founder Audulus LLC
