How do you know that Logic is ignoring the change? Logic automatically compensates for latency, so if you properly implement it then there will be no audible result. What is the purpose of allowing the user to adjust the latency, considering that Logic will compensate it away? It would seem that a plugin should strive for minimal latency or no latency at all, and then report the actual value. Of course, if your goal is to trick the host and create latency on purpose, then you might have very unpredictable results from various hosts.
