I play such all the time from my Macs. Usually it’s with Logic. 

How is your DAC connected? If it supports only Full Speed USB/USB Audio Class 
1, you can’t do 24/192 audio (not enough bus bandwidth). For UAC 2.0 on High 
Speed USB, or a FireWire or Thunderbolt device, as long as the product supports 
higher sampling rates they are usable.

Check the Audio MIDI Setup for your device. It’ll show all of the device’s 
supported sample rates and word lengths. Some applications let you select the 
sample rate and word length, others just default to the system setting (set in 
Audio MIDI Setup).
