Hi Arshia, I’m using AVAudioSessionCategoryPlayAndRecord but maybe I should use AVAudioSessionCategoryRecord since my app does not itself do any playback. I do wish to let the user listen to background music on headphones if they wish.
Apple is suggesting I try the .measurement or AVAudioSessionModeMeasurement setting. Need to test that. I use AudioUnits, the lowest level audio input possible. Sorry I don’t know where all the mics are, I could only find four of them, three on the front, one on the back.
